Top Ten Books For People Who Like Author X
I absolutely ADORE Stephanie Perkins. I ate up both Anna and the French Kiss and Lola and the Boy Next Door way too soon and now I can’t wait for her next book, Isla and the Happily Ever After to be released. There’s something so awesome about books that are cute and funny and can be read in one sitting. After so much paranormal, mystery, dystopian heaviness, it’s nice to break out of the shell and read something light. And it helps that Stephanie Perkins is an AMAZING author.
But what to read while waiting for her next book? Here are my recommendations:
Ditched, by Robin Mellom
Ditched is a wonderful novel that takes place in the course of one night. And it’s HILARIOUS! I enjoyed every single minute I spent reading this novel.

Wanderlove, by Kirsten Hubbard
I love a good travel story, especially since I’m such a chicken when it comes to traveling, and Wanderlove fits the bill. It’s full of great travel descriptions AND is a cute romance.

Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares, by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
This book was my introduction to both of these wonderful authors and it truly is a wonderful read. Who doesn’t like cute romance, and who doesn’t like scavenger hunts? If you love both of those, then you’ll love this one!

Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour, by Morgan Matson
Road trip books are my favourite thing. So, when I saw that this book was a road trip book, I flipped! Through the pages, that is. Ha ha. Don’t worry, none of this cheese is in the book, but it’s quite cute that it might make you want to spout off nonsensical cheesy things.

Stardust, by Neil Gaiman
Stardust may be a little more fantastical than some of my other picks for this weeks Top Ten, but it definitely fits with the sweet love story genre. I LOVE this book. When it first came out, I remember reading it all the way through in one sitting. And I was at work. I just couldn’t put it down!tardust, by Neil Gaiman

Beastly, by Alex Flinn
I admit that Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourite Disney movies, so when I won some books from HarperCollins Canada, I immediately requested this one! It’s a very sweet story, perfect for fans of the original movie.

The Summer My Life Began, by Shannon Greenland
Again, another one of those traveling, coming of age, romance type of books. Perfect for a day by the beach, or maybe one to get you in the mood for summer?

Will Grayson, Will Grayson, by John Green and David Levithan
This one is the most different for this week’s Top Ten, but it’s still an awesome read. One that will make you laugh, make you cry, and make you fall in love with these two amazing authors. If you want to read this one, I highly recommend the audiobook!

I’ve Got Your Number, by Sophie Kinsella
Sure, this one might be more adult chick-lit, but it is chalk full of cute romance, laughs, and there’s even a little mystery going on. I put off reading it for a while, but once I cracked it open I couldn’t put it down!
